Graphify GitHub: Official Package and Knowledge Graph Setup

Find Graphify-Labs/graphify, avoid package-name confusion and understand local code parsing versus optional semantic processing.

GUIDE · SOURCES REVIEWED

The project is Graphify-Labs/graphify. It builds a queryable graph from code and related project material so an assistant can inspect connections and paths.

Repository, package and command are different names

The README identifies the official PyPI package as graphifyy, with two y characters. The command remains graphify. It lists Python 3.10+, isolated installation options and assistant integration instructions. Check the current README and linked documentation before installing a similarly named package. Reviewed October 31, 2026.

The project describes deterministic local AST parsing for code. A separately configured semantic pass over documents or media can call a backend. Local code parsing does not prove that every optional mode or hosted service keeps all data on the device. The repository exposes Apache-2.0 and MIT licence files; read their scope for the components you plan to use.

Plan the first graph

Choose a small repository and one question, such as how a request reaches its persistence layer. Follow the documented quickstart and inspect the generated graph/report. Trace one returned relationship back to the actual source file. A graph edge is useful navigation evidence, not proof that a runtime behavior or security property holds.

Local assistant integration and an MCP connection are separate setup paths. Confirm which graph and tools your assistant can actually query before assuming that one setup automatically provides the other.

For task execution rather than repository mapping, compare DeepSeek Harness. Varwo has not installed Graphify, sent project files to a backend or reproduced its token-saving and benchmark claims.
