DeepSeek Super Agent: GitHub Prototype and Setup
Find the DeepSeek team’s research prototype, its architecture and safe starting points.
dsh-superagent is a research prototype published in the DeepSeek GitHub organization. The maintainers explicitly say it is not an official DeepSeek product or production-ready software. It is a bundle for DeepSeek Harness that can watch one GitHub repository and optionally Feishu; authorized requests become work items handled in separate agent sessions.
How to evaluate the prototype
- Read the repository README and its linked setup guide before connecting a repository.
- Inspect the authorization rules, integration permissions and the work-item lifecycle. Limit the first trial to a test repository and approved users.
- Review a proposed change and its tests yourself before merging. A pull request is a request for review, not a guarantee of correctness.
The published code differs from the team’s internal implementation. Ideas in the associated research may be future directions rather than implemented features. Compare it with a coding assistant by workflow: what events it observes, who can request work, how sessions are isolated and what approval each write needs.
The repository identifies the code as MIT-licensed; consult its current license and dependency terms. Sources checked November 4, 2026. Varwo reviewed the documentation; we did not install, connect or run the agent.
Router, worker and permissions
The prototype listens for eligible work on a single configured GitHub repository; its worker sessions can act on accepted tasks and report back. Read the setup guide and authorization design for current prerequisites and trust boundaries. Separate access to the repository, credentials for the harness and any optional chat integration; enable only what the test requires.
The code is a research prototype and the authors say that some ideas in the associated article are not implemented in the public release. Do not assume it is an officially supported hosted product.
