VoiceStudio: Local Voice Cloning and Dubbing Guide

Find the VoiceStudio repository, installation options and model licence checks.

GUIDE · SOURCES REVIEWED

VoiceStudio is a local-oriented voice application maintained at debpalash/VoiceStudio. Its maintainers describe voice cloning, dubbing, transcription and narration with selectable model engines. Confirm the repository and domain because other products use similar names.

Start with a small local task

  1. Open the project’s download and setup instructions for your operating system and check the requirements for the model you intend to use.
  2. Choose a model in the documented model manager and check its own terms before downloading its weights.
  3. Try a short recording you own or have permission to use. Listen for pronunciation, timing and unwanted artifacts before using output in a larger project.

The project describes local operation, but optional cloud or external services have separate data paths. Inspect the settings of the actual workflow before assuming every request stays on your device. Compared with a hosted voice service, a local setup gives you control over models but also makes installation, hardware and updates your responsibility.

The repository lists the app under AGPL-3.0; model weights, voices and output can have different terms. Check the license notice and the selected model’s terms. Sources checked November 4, 2026. Varwo has not installed VoiceStudio or generated a sample.

Choosing an engine and output

The project's engine catalog describes selectable local models. For transcription, compare the transcript against the original audio; for dubbing, check both translation and timing. Check storage and hardware requirements for the particular model, not just the application, and keep the source recording until the result is approved.

Cloning, translation and generated-voice rights can differ. Get permission from the voice owner and check the selected model and platform terms before publishing.
