OpenCode Go: Plans, Access and Limits to Check

Compare OpenCode Go’s listed plans and setup route without confusing a subscription with unlimited API usage or the free coding agent.

GUIDE · SOURCES REVIEWED

OpenCode Go is an optional model-access subscription. The official documentation distinguishes it from the OpenCode coding agent, which does not require a Go subscription. Buying Go changes the model-access route; it is not necessary just to use OpenCode with another provider.

How access works

The documentation's route is to subscribe in the OpenCode Console, obtain the service key, connect the Go provider in the agent, and select an available model. Keep provider keys in the client's intended credential storage rather than source code or shared chat.

The supported-model list can change. Check the exact model and its privacy/region restrictions in your workspace. A name appearing in a catalogue does not establish that every workspace configuration permits it.

Is the plan suitable for you?

Use your own recent workload to compare options. Note the model, request sizes, how often you hit a limit and whether a task requires a more expensive model. Compare the subscription's total charge and limits with the direct-provider route you already use.

Keep “requests” separate from “finished tasks”: an agent can make several requests and retries for one result. Likewise, an advertised monthly allowance does not establish latency or reliability on your repository.
