LearnHarness: AI Learning App or Harness Engineering Course?

LearnHarness can refer to a desktop learning app, while Google also suggests a separate harness engineering course. Choose by whether you want to learn a subject or build an AI coding agent.

Our literal Google query was corrected to learn harness, so its first result was the course. That search correction does not make the course and the app the same project. The app repository identifies amosblomqvist/learnharness; the course uses walkinglabs/learn-harness-engineering.

What to check before using the app

The app README describes measuring current understanding, planning dependencies, teaching and practice. It lists desktop downloads and several model-connection routes. The site says to bring your own API key; the README also discusses supported subscription connections, Claude Code and compatible endpoints. Confirm the route supported by your chosen version.

The repository lists AGPL-3.0. Free app access is separate from a model provider's charges. We have not established a monthly cost, a free model allowance or performance on your computer.

A useful first session

Choose one concept you need to explain, write what you already understand and identify one question you cannot answer. After the lesson, explain the concept without looking at the generated answer and attempt a different problem. Keep the original question so you can compare your reasoning later.

This is an editorial evaluation plan, not a tested result. For the engineering course, begin with its own introduction and a small project instead. Studying a harness architecture and using a tutoring app answer different learning needs.
