VarwoArtCraft AI explained
ArtCraft is an open-source creative studio for interactive AI images and video. Its GitHub repository describes a workflow where you compose in 2D, stage scenes in 3D and choose a generation model. This makes it relevant to creators who want to plan a shot rather than rely on a prompt alone.
The studio has a web app and desktop downloads. The broader ArtCraft family also includes separate creative applications. These names are related, but they do not all describe the same executable or feature set.
ArtCraft, FilmCraft and the other Craft Apps
The following is a selected guide to six apps in the official Craft Apps directory, not a list of features bundled into the AI Studio. Status labels are the publisher's labels as of October 16, 2026.
| App | Main purpose | Official status |
|---|---|---|
| PhotoCraft | Image editing | Early alpha |
| VectorCraft | Vector illustration | In development |
| WordCraft | Word processing | In development |
| PdfCraft | Reading and organizing PDFs | Early alpha |
| FilmCraft | Video editing | In development |
| LightCraft | Photo library and raw development | In development |
If you searched for “artcraft filmcraft,” distinguish the AI studio used to create shots from FilmCraft's video-editing workflow. If your interest is an image editor similar to Photoshop, investigate PhotoCraft rather than attributing all of its capabilities to ArtCraft Studio.
Does open source mean all AI is free?
No. Code availability and generation costs answer different questions. The official pricing page lists paid AI credits and describes using your own compute or third-party subscriptions. Decide where the generation will run and who charges for it before choosing a setup.
Which ArtCraft should you try?
- Choose the studio when your question concerns arranging an AI image or video scene.
- Choose a specific Craft App when your task is image editing, vector drawing, video editing, writing or PDF work.
- Treat early releases as candidates for evaluation with copies of your own files, rather than assuming production compatibility.
